At Nourisherpa, we’re committed to transparent, compassionate, and evidence-informed care. This page outlines our principles for publishing, communication, and ethics.
Publishing Principles – Our website content reflects our holistic, naturopathic and integrative clinical perspective. We aim to share accurate, accessible, and empowering information that aligns with our clinical experience, training, and the best available evidence.
Educational content is reviewed by Dr. Jen Stotlar, ND, CNS, LDN or Dr. Eric Mai, DC for clinical relevance and clarity. We also consider client questions, lived experiences, and evolving research when creating content.
We do not use AI to generate clinical advice without human review.
Ownership & Funding – Nourisherpa is a privately owned clinic founded and operated by Dr. Jen Stotlar, ND, CNS, LDN.
Dr. Eric Mai, DC owns and operates Mai Chiropractic, PLLC—an independent chiropractic practice. He contracts with Nourisherpa for shared clinic space and operational services, including scheduling, billing, and marketing support. While we collaborate closely to deliver integrated care, each provider maintains their own licensure, clinical independence, and business structure.
We occasionally earn affiliate income or referral commissions from companies whose products we have vetted and use in practice—such as Fullscript, Prolon, Platinum LED, or Omnilux. These recommendations are always based on clinical experience, product quality, and patient needs—not compensation. We do not accept sponsorships from pharmaceutical companies, insurance entities, or advertising networks.
Actionable Feedback Policy – We welcome thoughtful feedback from clients and readers. If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions about our content or services, you can contact us at office@nourisherpa.com.
We aim to respond to feedback within 5–7 business days and appreciate respectful, constructive communication.
Corrections Policy – If we identify an error in our published content, we will correct it as quickly as possible. Minor edits (e.g., typos) may be made without notation. Substantive corrections will include an update note with the correction date.
To report an error, please email us at office@nourisherpa.com.
Ethics Policy – At Nourisherpa, we are committed to practicing with integrity, transparency, and respect for the individuals we serve.
We follow the ethical guidelines and professional standards set by our respective licensing boards, including:
The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
The Vermont Office of Professional Regulation
The Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
The Illinois Medical Licensing Board for Chiropractic Examiners
We are fully compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and take the privacy and protection of your personal health information seriously. All client records are stored securely, and we do not share your information without your explicit consent unless required by law.
We do not make claims that are misleading, exaggerated, or unsupported by clinical experience or current understanding of human health. Our recommendations are made with your individual health, safety, and preferences in mind.
All educational content is reviewed for accuracy and alignment with our professional scope of practice. We aim to provide information that is clear, respectful, and empowering—not fear-based or sensationalized.
Diversity & Inclusion Policy – Nourisherpa welcomes people of all backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. We recognize the impact of systemic inequities on health and are committed to creating a safe, affirming, and respectful space for everyone.
We continually seek to grow in cultural humility and trauma-informed care.
Diversity in Staffing – As a small, privately owned clinic, our team is limited in size. While we currently do not produce a formal diversity report, we are committed to fostering inclusion in our hiring, referral networks, and community engagement efforts.
